Pain in the Heel of Foot May Be Due to Plantar Fasciitis

"There is excruciating pain in the heel of the foot when I step down from my bed in the morning, after a few steps with difficulty, I am able to walk normally; but sometimes feel a stretching pain below my foot while walking"; is the typical complain of patients in their forties, I come across frequently in my hospital practice. I am not an orthopedic surgeon; but, as no post of orthopedic surgeon exists, being a surgeon has to deal with such case.
